This was one ugly game. The Ravens (3-1) beat the Jets (2-2) 34-17 in a key AFC matchup.
Joe Flacco wasn’t on point for most of the first game after the first quarter. He turned the ball over twice, including an interception returned for a touchdown.
The Ravens’ defense returned three Mark Sanchez turnovers, two fumbles and an interception, in to touchdowns to aid in the victory.
Ray Rice scored the only offensive touchdown of the game with a first quarter run that put the Ravens up 17-7. Rice didn’t have great statistics, but his effort running the ball helped the Ravens eat the clock at the end of the game.
Rice’s touchdown gave the Ravens defense enough confidence to harass Sanchez all night long.
With the win, the Ravens will move in to sole possession of first place in the AFC North with the rest of the division at 2-2. Baltimore will now rest up and go on their bye next week.
